Given the limited time for review and the inviolable deadlines, it is very important that the commenting processing does not generate such a burden of editorial work that the UK cannot assemble a document that says all that it wants to say.

For this reason please make any comments to DIS 29500 as finished as they can be -- do not rely on an editorial process up the chain to 'clean up' comments.

In particular:

  • For each comment page on this Wiki, please keep comments that refer to text in sequence
  • When referring to points in the text, do so using clause numbers and (where appropriate) line numbers
  • If re-wording is needed, specify the replacement text
  • More generally, avoid pointing-out faults without also stating the remedial action needed
